The RPL Express Lane Option

This allows you to take your existing knowledge, skills and experience and turn that into the latest qualification. Through a detailed recognition process of your work history, job roles and former training, we work out where it matches the requirements for a qualification from the training package. You may choose to complete a qualification using a mix of Full Study and Express Lane.

Did you know that you can gain your Veterinary Nursing qualification through your years of experience?

If you have you been working in the industry and haven’t had the time to study for a formal qualification you could join our Express Lane! Perhaps you have an older qualification and would like to upgrade? Have you recently moved from another country and are wondering where your qualification fits in?

This program offers candidates who have the experience but have not undertaken recognised training, to gain qualifications or part of a qualification without a recognised training program.

Those with experience are assessed on their workplace competence to gauge their level of expertise. They can often achieve the recognised qualifications in reduced study periods. RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning) programs recognise knowledge already gained from other studies, work experience and/or from everyday life experience. Recognition can be given for a whole program of study or a unit of competency. Please note that recognition cannot be given to part of a unit of competency and applicants are not supplied with course notes.

Our training team are available to discuss your current situation and tailor a plan to help you achieve that qualification. The Express Lane is based on your experience can help to reduce the time required to study and fast track your studies versus a newcomer to the industry.

The Qualification Upgrade Option

You may have an older qualification and are happily working in the industry. You can convert this to the current qualification. Apart from feeling good about having the latest qualification, many industry bodies now require it for certain licenses such as a radiography licence or microchipping.

This option involves mapping your current qualification against the current version and working out where there is a difference. These gaps can be filled by a mix of full study and/or a recognition of current competence process. Upgrading your qualification is easier than you may think with usually only a small amount of additional units being included dependant on the year of your qualification.
